The release of identifying adoption information surrounding an adopted person will be handled by the Ohio Department of Health. However, the Probate Court may be able to handle the release of non-identifying information (such as the Final Decree of Adoption). For additional information on the release of identifying information, and the effective dates of the various provisions please contact the Ohio Department of Health at 614-466-2351.
